Our programs target at risk teens. Most youth move through adolescence experiencing little or no adversity and successfully transition into adult roles and responsibilities. However, a portion of youth struggle to achieve developmental goals and become disconnected from mainstream institutions and systems. These youth are vulnerable to further failures and discontinued disconnection from society often resulting in lifelong economic and social hardship. Educators and civic leaders are concerned that teens at risk are often given little guidance in becoming healthy and productive adults. These programs are invaluable not only to the teens themselves, but to the surrounding community.
Teen Center USA provides core developmental building blocks for our community's teens' mental, physical, social and spiritual well being.
Our staff is committed to providing programs for teens that will provide what teens need to succeed. We provide Support, Empowerment, Boundaries and High Expectation, Constructive Use of Time, Commitment to Learning, Positive Values, Self-Esteem and Character Building
All of the programs offered by Teen Center USA are Free to area teenagers. With contributions from local businesses and individuals, we can continue to provide a safe, nurturing place for our teens.
Please consider a financial contribution to help keep our programs in place and available to those who need them. We appreciate your support! Please remember that your contributions are always tax deductible!
With decades of highly regarded service to the community, the positive legacy of the Teen Center speaks for itself.
The economic and social challenges of today required the development of a wholly and locally based leadership team, along with a new 501(c)(3) status.
With a clean, mutually-agreed upon and respectful breakout from under the auspices of Youth for Christ, the center has entered a new era with its whole focus on its legacy as a significant part of Elk Groves past, present and future. The new governing board of directors is composed of Elk Grove residents with an outstanding variety of business and professional backgrounds and has come together committed to extend the centers legacy of service well into the future.
Thanks to all of you who supported TCUSA-EG's efforts for sustained support from the City of Elk Grove! We are grateful for the council's decision to provide grant funds for the 2010-2011 fiscal year and to allow ongoing use of the city facility on a month-to-month basis after July 1st. We are also thankful for your prayers, presence and financial support.
Knowing that we can't rest (there's lots of work to be done over the next year, so we're just getting started), this level of support allows us to move forward with less risk than we've been facing over the past 6 months! Please continue to keep us in your prayers and hearts!
